Thank you so much for scanning the QR code and for attending the 2024 (Doing) Business For Good Summit. In an effort to divert as much waste from the landfill as possible, BFG & Allgoods put some great thought into making this event as waste free & compostable as possible. Below you will find links to the compostable items they purchased so you can help make your next event just as waste aware, if not more! We need your help keeping organics and recyclables out of the landfill. The more trash we have in landfills, the greater the amount of CO2 and Methane produced. CO2 and Methane are excellent at trapping heat, which means the hotter it will be for all of us! Not to mention, there are so many accessible and affordable compostable items to comply with California bill SB1383. We certainly don't need any more petroleum plastic. Make sure to check with your local hauler for what is accepted at your venue or curbside bin.
Current Accepted Compostables
This is a list of the compostables used in today's summit that are compliant with the San Diego Organics Waste Program facilitated by the Miramar Greenery. These items take very little time to biodegrade in the proper conditions.

NOT Accepted Compostables
This is a list of the compostables used in today's summit that are NOT compliant with the San Diego Organic Waste program facilitated by the Miramar Greenery. They are made with PLA (plant-based plastics), which fully biodegrade and are better for the environment than petroleum based plastics, but are unable to be processed at the Miramar Greenery at this time.
